Eco-Alpha Inspires: IFMA Scholar & FAMU International Student Emmanuel Bamidele Joins Eco-Alpha Internship Program!
Meet Emmanuel Bamidele, a dedicated graduate student at Florida A&M University (FAMU) set to graduate in December 2025 with a degree in Facilities Management. Originally from Nigeria, Emmanuel is an international student with a passion for optimizing building operations and expanding his expertise in the industry.
As a recipient of the 2024 IFMA Foundation Scholarship, Emmanuel is on a transformative journey, blending his background in architecture with the hands-on experience provided by the Eco-Alpha Inspires Internship Program. Reflecting on his experience, Emmanuel shares, "As a trained architect gradually transitioning into the facilities management industry, this journey has provided me with a well-rounded perspective on the vast opportunities within the field." Through his work with Eco-Alpha, he has gained exposure to everything from boiler operations to analyzing financial health through P&L statements, equipping him with the skills to become a well-rounded industry leader. One of Emmanuel's favorite morning routines is completing Eco-Alpha's training. "It's a beautiful way to start the day. The most impressive thing for me about the training courses is how each lesson is purposely curated to dispense the highest form of knowledge in the simplest way possible. The trainings expertly fill up knowledge gaps, reaffirms existing knowledge, and impacts new knowledge all within a short period of time."
Currently, Emmanuel is taking the lead on key projects which require him to use his skills as an architect and take on the responsibility of completing research and development for new product launch, manage projects with contractors to ensure product delivery timelines, and develop and approve design elements. He describes his internship as "one of the most transformative experiences of 2024/2025" and highlights the impact of being given leadership opportunities.
"Eco-Alpha doesn’t just recruit people—they help you discover your identity and potential."
Beyond technical and managerial skills, Emmanuel appreciates the creative freedom Eco-Alpha fosters. "Eco-Alpha is a fertile ground for ideation and innovation, allowing me to explore ideas and see them come to life." His work on Eco-Alpha’s training initiatives has been particularly impactful, providing firsthand experience in project and product development. "Every day, I feel reassured that I am moving in the right direction, building a career that aligns with my aspirations."
With a long-term goal of entering the business world as a Facilities Manager and bringing knowledge he gains from his work in the United States to a worldwide platform, Emmanuel sees Eco-Alpha as the perfect platform for growth. He credits the organization’s inspiring and supportive professionals for creating an environment where talent is nurtured, and contributions are valued. "Eco-Alpha has some of the most inspiring and supportive professionals across all levels of leadership—it truly is a happy place to work and grow."
We are proud to support Emmanuel on his professional journey and look forward to seeing his continued growth and impact in the Facilities Management industry!
